My Remotes don't seem to have the same battery life.
Symptom and description
You may notice that the Remotes don’t exactly have the same battery life, and that one of the Remotes drains faster than the other. For instance, you fully charged both Remotes, and after one hour of using them, you notice that Remote A has 89% battery left, and that Remote B has 84% left.
Phase Remotes have built-in Li-ion batteries, and each battery is unique. It is thus possible to notice a slight difference in the battery percentage when they are being used.
Devices equipped with Li-ion batteries (smartphones, tablets, laptop, handheld consoles, or digital cameras) generally have a fluctuating duration, depending on the way it is used, but also the temperature and the environment. This is a regular behaviour of such devices.
Also note that the Li-ion battery consumption is not linear: you may observe that one Remote discharges faster at the beginning of its cycle, but slower at the end, for example.
If you have a doubt on your Remote’s battery life, fully charge it to 100%, then spin it and time how long it lasts before turning off. If you think your case needs to be reviewed by the support team, please get in touch with us by filling up the form below.
